As summer winds down and fall approaches, the sports begin anew. The eight year old granddaughter loves her golfing lessons, is playing soccer and just finished her dance recital. The eleven year old granddaughter just returned from a Disney cruise to the Bahamas courtesy of her grandparents. She just began softball fall ball practice and is continuing with her swimming. She received an invitation to try out for a water polo team due to her strong arm and swimming ability. The five year old grandson is playing Friday Night Lights flag football. This all equates to three sports schedules ... how lucky can one be?

So proud of my granddaughter, Sydney (second from right), who attended her first ever golf camp. She walked away with a trophy, winning third place in the chipping competition. It was a three-way tie for third, against two boys ... she loved the pressure and won. Time to dust off the old clubs so that I can keep up with her. She already beats me at chess.

More Fun With the Family

My eleven year old granddaughter finished the school year by making the honor roll. I couldn't be more proud. Last week, after one scheduled practice session with her swim club, she participated in and completed the eight hundred yard open water swim at Seal Beach.

To say she was tired is an under-
statement.

Fun with the Family!

What a spring it has been! My granddaughter's 10U softball team went undefeated, 17-0, in the regular season, and swept the playoffs with three straight victories. She plays in the the Los Alamitos Softball League, a very competitive group of young ladies.

Two of my grandsons began their T-ball careers this season. They were fortunate to be on a very parent-participative team with their father as the coach.
